The staff of The Advocate and Greenwich Time in Connecticut want to buy their newspaper from its owners, Tribune. A letter to the company from union representative Maida Rosenstein said: 'We will be prepared to show you that we have sufficient resources to make the purchase price." Tribune will probably seek to sell the whole company before considering sales of various parts, but a sale of segments seems more likely in the absence of corporate interest. (Via Topix.net)
