Journalist finds key witness

An Australian journalist is said to have tracked down a key witness in the mysterious disappearance of a Melbourne backpacker in Croatia ahead of the country's police. The reporter, who works for News Limited, managed to find a Portuguese woman who was the last person known to have seen 21-year-old Britt Lapthorne, who was last seen in Dubrovnik on September 18.
