Jota transfer insider makes €30m Celtic transfer claim

The fee Celtic will receive for the imminent transfer of Jota could reach around €30million.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that the Hoops could be in line for a bumper payday as they aim to cash in on their prized asset.

The Italian sports journalist states that Jota's move to Al Ittihad is more or less done and dusted.

It's said that the move could go through as early as this week.

And when it does get the green light, the Scottish champions will pocket a hefty sum of cash from the super-rich Saudi side.

He tweeted: "Understand Al Ittihad coach Nuno has already spoken to Jota about his transfer considered imminent and set to be completed next week.

"#transfers Fee gonna be around €30m, discussions ongoing.

Benfica will, of course, be in line for a sizeable portion of the fee received though, as they have a 30 per cent sell-on clause.

The Portuguese side sold Jota to Celtic last summer for £6.5million following his initial successful loan in Glasgow.

Jota has reportedly agreed terms with Al Ittihad, and is said to have spoken directly to Nuno Espirito Santo about the move.
