Jota suffers for Celtic as Portuguese star left unimpressed by first Irn Bru experience

Celtic star Jota has hit the ground running since arriving in Scotland in the summer.

The on-loan Benfica winger has already scored seven goals for the Hoops and is quickly becoming a favourite at Celtic Park.

The Portuguese star got on the scoresheet again as Celtic beat Aberdeen 2-1 on Sunday, and Parkhead chiefs will be desperate to make his move permanent.

Jota has also been a popular figure in the changing room and recently appeared in the Celtic Christmas advert, dressing up as George Michael for the annual event.

He's been embracing the Scottish culture - but he doesn't seem to be a fan of one staple of the local diet.

The winger was asked if he had ever tried Irn Bru during a sit-down interview with Celtic View for the Christmas special.

In the hilarious video, Jota replies: "Irn Bru, what is that? I don't know. That's food?"

The 22-year-old is then handed a bottle of the juice, while he asks: "I don't drink alcohol, it's not alcohol?"

Jota stares, bewildered, at the fizzy pop, before asking: "What is this? It's like juice? Lets see."

As he turns the cap he adds: "Gas is a turn off for me", and when he takes a sip his face drops.

In his review of the juice, he says: "This is not for me. I'm sorry guys. I'm a very simple guy, I stick to water. I'm not used to that sorry guys."
