Jota details Celtic target for season as he puts permanent transfer talk aside

Jota insists his only concern after joining Celtic is to win back the Premiership title.

And he's put any talk of a permanent move to Celtic on the backburner as he looks to focus on playing regularly and winning games.

Celtic have the option to buy the Benfica winger for £6million next summer if they decide to turn his loan deal into a permanent one.

But he he insists there's no point thinking about that just yet and he wants to focus on getting on the pitch and helping the club win games.

Jota was one of three deadline day signings that joined Ange Postecoglou's men and now he's excited to get started at Celtic Park.

He could make his debut against Ross County on Saturday when the Highland outfit visit for a Premiership clash.

And he said: “Moving to Celtic is a big responsibility because of the size of the club.

“I want to be at the level they ask of me. It’s great to be here, there are plenty of good players and good coaches with refreshing ideas. Now I want to be on the pitch with the lads and do my thing.

“I’m here to help the team and the main achievement would be the title - I’m here to win that.

“Any coach or player at Celtic must be ready to win every game. They must be ready to win the title.

“Right now I think the most important thing is to play and to keep on learning and adapting to the Scottish game.

“I know the terms of my loan but I don’t want to think about that. I have to focus on my football, adapt to the game here and learn.

“Everything at the right time. First win games, title and then we speak about other things.

“Anything else will be discussed at the end of the season.”
