Joss Stone puzzled viewers on Lorraine as she likened egg whites to "independent women".
The singer - who won The Masked Singer last year as Sausage - has appeared in a series of cooking segments for ITV's Lorraine and this time, in her At Home with Joss Stone segment, she was showing viewers how they could make luxury raspberry and white chocolate cupcakes at home.
She couldn't stop singing as she introduced her segment.
"Good morning everyone, how are you doing? I'm Joss and today I'm going to be making today a lovely raspberry and white chocolate cupcake," she began.
Sharing her method, she continued: "So we grab our lovely butter. It's not cold. If it was cold, it's going to make your job a lot harder. We're going to just cream that together with the sugar. I know that this can be done by hand but it's just so much easier if you have a whizzer."
She then proceeded to separate the egg yolks and egg whites as she described baking as "one of her favourite things to do". However, it was her comments about the whipped egg whites that left viewers at home feeling very confused.
Holding up the stiffened egg whites, she said: "Your egg whites should stand in their own right. They should become independent women!"
Fans tuning into the show were puzzled by her comment, as one wrote: "Why am I watching Joss stone pretending to be nigella, telling me how to make cupcakes? #lorraine."

Joss had previously left viewers "cringing" by her singing and cooking segment last week, where she made a vegan chowder.
"I’m actually here to cook, not sing. I can’t help it!" she said, "When I’m in America I do cook different food, because there’s different things in the supermarket. I’ve learned how to do American pancakes and home fries. That’s naughty but it’s so good!"
