Croatian international Josip Juranovic is reportedly on the brink of a move to Celtic in the coming days.
Reports emerged earlier this month that Ange Postecoglou saw the Legia Warsaw defender as the solution to the problem right-back position at the club.
However, Royal Antwerp defender Aurelio Buta appeared to be the preferred option for a deal this summer.
Reports in Poland now suggest that an alternative has emerged with Warsaw willing to sell up after their Champions League exit.
They notes that Fiorentina and Spartak Moscow are also keeping tabs on the player after he impressed at Euro 2020, however a €3million (£2.6million) deal has been agreed.
That is in contrast to the claimed figures for Buta, which were reportedly nearing a £6million fee.
The 25-year-old moved to Poland from Hajduk Split in 2020 and has made 36 appearances for Legia, scoring one goal and registering nine assists.
He scored one goal and assisted eight times in 26 appearances in the Polish championship last season.
Celtic currently only have Anthony Ralston as the senior right-back in the squad, who has struggled at times so far this season.
