Josip Juranovic to Celtic transfer confirmed by Legia Warsaw boss as he ponders decision on farewell appearance

Legia Warsaw boss Czeslaw Michniewicz has confirmed Josip Juranovic will join Celtic.

The two clubs have negotiated a £2.5million fee for the right-back and he's expected to undergo a medical over the weekend.

Michniewicz says the 26-year-old is still discussing personal terms despite Polish media indicating earlier on Wednesday he had finalised a package with the Scottish Premiership side.

Regardless, Ange Postecoglou looks set to make the Croatia international his next summer signing.

Legia manager Michniewicz is gutted to be losing him and hasn't yet decided whether Juranovic will feature in his side's Europa League play-off against Slavia Prague on Thursday, with the player making himself available for a final appearance.

"I know that the clubs have agreed on the transfer, and he is still negotiating his terms," Michniewicz said.

"I had a preliminary talk with Jura at the airport about the game.

"He is willing to play and we will make the final decision tomorrow.

"How will this affect the team? Certainly there is some confusion.

"Today many people congratulated him that he would have a chance to develop in another club.

"But we also feel sorry that he would not be with us anymore.

"I'm not surprised he's going, but it's humanly sad that it will go away.

"He is the 21st player who has quit since I've been here. We have to accept it and stop thinking about it."
