Celtic have announced the signing of Croatia international Josip Juranovic on an five-year deal from Legia Warsaw.
The clubs agreed a £2.6m fee for the Euro 2020 star and he will now get down to work with his new club ahead of a vital period before the international break.
The 26-year-old has 10 caps for his country and played against Scotland and Spain during their run to the last 16 at this summer's showpiece event.
And Juranovic will now look to show new boss Ange Postecoglou what he is all about with Tony Ralston the only senior right-back at the club after Jeremie Frimpong and Hatem Elhamed departed in January.
But Celtic 's search for a long-term solution at right-back has been running for three years with former boss Brendan Rodgers keen on Timothy Castagne and Cristiano Piccini.
Mikael Lustig's exit intensified that search and the Parkhead's need for a new player in that position led to Aurelio Buta and George Baldock being considered.
But Juranovic will hope he proves to be something of a bargain and he will take in Saturday's Premiership clash with St Mirren.
Boss Postecogoglou admits he is over the moon to get the deal over the line.
He told the club's official website: “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing Josip to the Club and we are sure he will be a great addition to the squad.
“As I have said before, everyone at the club has been working hard to add to our squad and we have made good progress. I am really pleased to bring Josip in to support the rest of the boys.
“We have so many challenges ahead of us and Josip will add important quality and depth. I am really looking forward to working with him.”
