Josip Juranovic says his Celtic goodbyes after Union Berlin transfer as he keeps 'fireball' memories in his heart

Departing Josip Juranovic says he'll never forget his time at Celtic as he posted a lengthy thank you to the fans, staff and players at Parkhead.

The Croatian leaves after 18 months after the club opened themselves to offers following a breakdown in contract negotiations but there has been no hostility towards the defender who banks them a fee which could rise to £10m. He was one of Ange Postecoglou's top performers and quickly became a fan favourite with his performance against Rangers in February last year one of his best moments.

The club reacted to that by uploading a highlight reel to Instagram soundtracked to Pitbull's "fireball" - which was later shared by the pop sensation himself. And Juranovic referenced that in a social media post as he said his goodbyes to Parkhead after a memorable year and a half in Glasgow.

He said: "What can I say...what a memorable 18 months at Celtic. My family and I will always remember every part of that journey.

"Thank you for making this a special time for us. Sharing the dressing room with so many amazing teammates in this short period of time was unforgettable experience!

"It was my pleasure working with manager, coaches and staff members. Big thanks to the fans. Each and every one of you made me feel special.

"Fireball will be always close to my heart! Glasgow will always be GREEN AND WHITE! Once a CELT, always a CELT."
