Celtic transfer target Josip Juranovic starts for Legia Warsaw against Slavia Prague tonight in what could be his final bow for the Polish outfit.
The Croatia international looks set to become Ange Postecoglou ’s latest addition as he addresses his lack of options at right back.
Legia boss Czeslaw Michniewicz revealed that a deal had been struck between the two clubs for the 26-year-old.
The player has been congratulated by his teammates ahead of making the £2.5million switch to the Scottish Premiership.
But he still has a job to do as his current club look to make the Europa League group stages.
And Juranovic has been tasked with getting them off to the perfect start in the first leg before departing.
Legia host the Czech side tonight (kick-off 8.00pm) and a decision on whether to include the defender was left as late as possible.
He’s in though, even after Michniewicz admitted it made the build up to the game slightly strange.
He said: “Certainly there was some confusion. Many people have congratulated him that he has a chance to develop in another club.
“But we also feel sorry that he would not be with us anymore. I’m not surprised he’s going. Jura is a very good player but it’s sad that it will go away.”
Juranovic could make his Celtic debut in the first Old Firm meeting of the season. He could be in Glasgow ahead of this weekend's meeting with St Mirren although obvoiusly won't feature, and he won't be eligible for the play-off round second leg trip to Alkmaar.
