Josip Juranovic 'fee agreed' as Celtic close in on transfer for Legia Warsaw right back

Celtic have agreed a £2.5million deal to sign Croatian right-back Josip Juranovic, according to a report.

The 26-year-old Legia Warsaw defender has been the subject of transfer interest from the Hoops, as they look to bolster their defence.

As revealed by Record Sport , the Premiership club had re-opened talks to sign the Croatian international after cooling on Manchester City's Yan Couto.

Sky Sports report Celtic had settled on a fee but the two clubs were yet to sort the final details of the transfer, nor had Juranovic yet agreed personal terms.

He played two matches at the recent Euro 2020 tournament, including playing the full 90 minutes against Scotland.

Juranovic signed for Legia just last summer and had an excellent campaign in Poland.

He has made 40 appearances, scoring one goal and providing ten assists to his teammates.

Celtic have been in the hunt for a first team right-back with their only senior option remaining Anthony Ralston.

Ralston has excelled under manager Ange Postecoglou but the Celtic manager has not hid his desires about signing further defensive reinforcements.

Capped 10 times by his country Juranovic, now looks like he will be playing his football in Scotland next season.
