It's reported that Celtic have seen their first official offer for Josip Juranovic rejected as Legia Warsaw hold out for a higher fee.
As revealed by Record Sport, the Hoops have re-opened talks to sign the Croatian international after cooling on Manchester City 's Yan Couta.
The Parkhead club are confident of adding Juranovic to Ange Postecoglou's squad but there is still some negotiation to be done.
And Croat outlet Index reports that the first offer for Juranovic has been rejected by Legia.
The Premiership runners-up are said to have offered a fee of €2.3million (£2m) for the 26-year-old but that was immediately thrown out by his club.
Celtic are expected to come back with another improved offer but the Polish side are in no rush to sell a player who is a firm favourite with fans.
They are said to be ready to hold on to Juranovic until January if an acceptable offer doesn't arrive in the next two weeks.
The Parkhead club are said to be willing to go as high as €3m (£2.6m) but that may not be enough to get the deal over the line.
