Josip Juranovic is more than good enough to make a step from Celtic to a club like Chelsea or Manchester United, according to James McFadden.
The right-back has been a standout for the Hoops since moving to the club in 2021 from Legia Warsaw. It has attracted big name interest and in excess of £15 million is the reported price tag for a man linked this summer with Atletico Madrid plus the two Premier League giants.
Manchester United have been credited as 'giving serious consideration to launching a move' while Chelsea's link has also appeared. McFadden made a big move from Motherwell to Everton during the former forward's career and says there's no reason why Celtic's Croatian right-back couldn't shoot straight to a European elite. Scotland internationals down south are proof of this and interest would possibly prompt a future thought. When asked if Juranovic could play at that level, the former Everton forward told Open Goal: "Did you see him in the summer playing against France?

"I think he could. If you look at the impact some boys have had, then they aren't wanting to miss out. If they think he's good enough and leave him to go to that middle side for whatever the price, and he does well, they know they will have to pay double the price.
"You can see it with Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson, John McGinn, why wait? There's probably a bit more respect for players playing in the league.
"He was linked earlier with Atletico Madrid, he said he was happy where he is. It's a difficult one if they come in. It would be a big loss to Celtic but you would trust the manager to find a replacement."
