Joshua King admits St James' Park is one of his 'favourite' places to play football

AFC Bournemouth's Joshua King has revealed that St James' Park is one of his 'favourite' places to play football as Newcastle United get ready to take on The Cherries.

Both sides come into the game in high spirits with Newcastle beating West Ham 3-2, and Bournemouth taking all three points at home against Manchester United - King getting the only goal of the game.

For King, who was linked with a move to the Magpies over the summer, he admits he's relishing the chance to play in such an arena as St James' Park .

"It's one of my favourite places to play if I'm being completely honest," he said.

"I like that stage, so I'm looking forward to that."

King last scored away to Newcastle in March 2016, as Bournemouth beat Newcastle 3-1.

King has hit three goals this season but his form has picked up since boss Eddie Howe moved him back into the striker role.

The win over Manchester United was The Cherries first win in four games - although they had drawn three of those fixtures.

Now sitting seventh in the Premier League, King is determined to see his side kick-on.
