Josh Windass lifts lid on Rangers team-mates and delivers brutally honest Ibrox staircase verdict

Twitter Q&A's are set to take off over these next months, that much is clear already.

The coronavirus-enforced football shutdown has left footballers with even more free time on their hands and social media is there to fill the void.

Josh Windass was among the first up on Wednesday as he shared memories of his spell at Rangers.

Now on loan at Sheffield Wednesday from Wigan, Windass left Ibrox in summer 2018 having been a somewhat divisive figure during a two-year spell.

But he witnessed plenty of comings and goings during a transitional period for the club.

Naturally, fans' questions turned to some of his Rangers team-mates and Windass wasn't shy in answering.

Carlos Pena? "Hilarious".

Bruno Alves? "Top guy".

Barrie McKay? "Incredible ability".

Windass cited the Scot as "one of the most talented I've played with"  but he reserved top billing for Niko Krancjar, who says is now enjoying "retirement" drinking.

His memories of clashes with Celtic were less fond, as the club took a few heavy beatings from their rivals during that period.

But Windass still recalls scoring in a 3-2 Ibrox defeat and the atmosphere that accompanies the Premiership's premier fixture.

He was also posed a question over how it felt to walk up the fabled marble staircase - and offered a very honest response.

He quipped: "Not great because it meant you either was injured or not picked"
