Josh Windass left fearing mum's wrath as former Rangers star's tennis ball challenge goes badly wrong

It was bound to happen at some point. Or, rather, it was bound to be caught on camera at some point.

With toilet roll, footballs and everything else in between being used for lockdown challenges, mishaps are inevitable.

Former Rangers midfielder Kevin Thomson's unique take on a simple keepy-up has gone down a storm with fans and players, with Josh Windass the latest to step up.

It involves keeping the ball up against a wall with alternate feet, aiming for 50 touches.

Unfortunately for the one-time Ibrox star, however, things didn't quite go to plan.

While most who have stepped up for this challenge have taken to the back garden with a regular-sized football, Windass had another idea in mind.

The attacking midfielder, on-loan at Sheffield Wednesday from Wigan Athletic, opted to remain in the house and instead use a tennis ball.

What happened next was straight from You've Been Framed.

Windass lost control of the ball and grimaces at an off-camera crash, bang and eventual smash.

He later wrote on Twitter : "First attempt @KThomsonAcademy, tried to be massive time didn’t I . Mums gunna have my life now . Nightmare"
