Josh Warrington fight time and how to watch on TV and live stream

Josh Warrington faces Mauricio Lara in a featherweight rematch looking to avenge his defeat to the Mexican on Saturday night.

The Leeds Warrior fell to a shock defeat to the relatively unknown Mexican fighter back in February when he was stopped in the ninth round, after really under-estimating the power and speed of his opponent in a behind-closed-doors affair.

But now the 'Leeds Warrior' will seek revenge in a mission backed by a raucous home atmosphere back in Leeds, in front of a 20,000 capacity crowd at the Emerald Headingley Stadium.

Anticipation is high for the main-event clash, with the fight seen as a 'make or break' clash for the home favourite as he looks to revive his world-level career.

Here is everything you need to know as Warrington begins his quest for redemption...

Fight time and how to watch via live stream and on TV

The main event ring walks ahead of Lara vs Warrington are expected at around 10:00-10:30pm on the night with the overall coverage of the card beginning at 7pm.

Viewers can watch the action exclusively broadcast live on streaming service DAZN following Matchroom Boxing's departure from Sky Sports.

DAZN can be watched on multiple devices including laptop, smart TV and mobile and viewers can click here to sign up for £7.99 a month.

Josh Warrington: “I take him [Lara] very seriously, I think the first time he said that he saw fear in my eyes, there’s not fear in there I was just looking straight through him," Warrington said.

"I didn’t think that he could bring what he delivered and that’s my mistake, that’s me being too cocksure of myself. I won’t make that same mistake again; I have the fear factor about this one.

“When Anthony Joshua got his redemption against Andy Ruiz Jr, it was done and forgotten about and that’s going to be the same Saturday night.

"I’m sure he’s come over with a bit of an entourage, he looks smart today, had a haircut, but once he’s been done, he’ll have given me a massive lesson in my career but that will be it, we’ll move on.

“I’m a proud man and it would have made my toes curl to see and watch somebody else fight Mauricio Lara. I want to get my redemption, I feel that Lara is a great fighter, a strong fighter, but I feel like I’ve been at a higher level for such a long time and beaten fighters that are such a higher level than what he is."

Mauricio Lara: “It really hurt me that a great champion like him [Josh] didn’t give me the credit for my performance but that’s in the past now," Lara said. I can’t wait for Saturday to come along now and I’m going to show him, in his words, that we’re definitely not on the same level – I’ll have my hand raised on Saturday night.

“I’ve prepared for a knockout, but I’ve also prepared for the twelve rounds, I can assure you it won’t go the distance.”
