Josh Taylor v Regis Prograis: American launches foul-mouthed tirade against Scot and his fans

Regis Prograis has launched a sweary tirade against Josh Taylor and his fans after their WBSS Ali Trophy final date was confirmed.

The super lightweights will go head to head at London’s O2 arena on Saturday 26 October.

Prograis had been accused of ducking Taylor after reports emerged that the New Orleans fighter was trying to pull out of the fight due to disagreements with tournament organisers Comosa AG.

Now that everything has been confirmed however, Prograis responded to Taylor’s jibes and those from his fans with a video posted on fighthype.com, in which he insisted he’s coming to the UK to “hurt” the East Lothian world champ.

“All these f*****g Scotland people, all these Scots, they’re gonna f*****g swallow their words ‘cause I’m gonna to f**k Josh Taylor up,” he ranted. “I’m gonna beat him up bad. I’m not playing.

“Every time I get on [social media] someone’s saying I’m ducking Josh Taylor, and I’m a f*****g p***y, I’m a b***h. Alright. I just sat back and couldn’t say nothing for a while.

“But now I can say stuff, the fight is officially on and he’s gonna pay for all that s**t.

“All these Scottish motherf*****s on Instagram, on Twitter, talking all that s**t, they can’t go in there and fight for him.

“It’s gonna be me and him and it’s not gonna be no f*****g boxing match; I’m gonna f**k him up.

‘When I went to Scotland he said he was ready for a war. Well lets see if he can really back those words up.

“I’m going to London to hurt Josh Taylor. Nothing else. I’m not going to box him, I don’t want a f*****g decision, or if it goes to that I’m gonna hurt him for 12 rounds.“
