Josh Taylor reveals his plan for Ivan Baranchyk in world domination bid

Scottish hero Josh Taylor has vowed to expose title rival Ivan Baranchyk's flaws as he aims to become our country’s next world boxing champion.

The Tartan Tornado is ready to rock ahead of the biggest fight of his career as he looks to win the IBF light-welterweight title in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series .

Taylor will set up a showdown with Regis Prograis in the Final if he can dethrone 'The Beast' on home turf on Saturday night.

The Commonwealth gold medalist has had time to study his Belarusian opponent and believes he has the tools to outfox the Freddie Roach trained danger man.

Baranchyk has arrived in Scotland in confident mood and his optimism has only been bolstered after linking up with legendary corner man ahead of this fight.

But the 28-year-old insists he has the remedy for his aggressive foe and believes his sharp skills will be the difference.

He said: "I've never felt so relaxed and confident heading into a fight. I'm ready to do the job.

"Baranchyk is strong, he comes forward but i see a lot of flaws in him, a lot of mistakes and I'm going to exploit him.

"I cannot wait to get in and fight him. Having the fans behind me will be great and it will lift me.

"The best man is going to win and it's going to be me."

Taylor admits he's relishing another acid test and believes facing another undefeated fighter will only bring out the best in him.

A win on Saturday will secure him a world title in only 15 fights and that's a dream the Prestonpans man wants to turn into a reality.

He added: '"It's the best guys in boxing all fighting against each other.

"It doesn't happen enough and I'm in this game to prove I'm the best.

"I believe Baranchyk is one of the best in the division but I'm fully confident I'm going to win on Saturday."
