Ricky Burns believes Josh Taylor is more than capable of beating welterweight king Terence Crawford.
The 30 year-old superstar is eyeing up a fight against the undefeated Omaha born boxer in his next bout.
Taylor secured all four super-lightweight titles with a stunning win over Jose Ramirez in Las Vegas last weekend.
Coatbridge star Burns lost to Crawford in Glasgow back in 2014 but he insists that Taylor is a superior boxer and that he can gain revenge on the WBO welterweight champion.
Burns told the BBC: "Terence Crawford - I've always said out of all the fights I've had that technically he was the best boxer that I've shared a ring with.

"Obviously I didn't have the answers that night when I fought him but Josh is am much better boxer than I am. So again I do think Josh could go out there and do the job.
"After that performance at the weekend, Josh is right up there already.
"But like he said, he wants to go after all these big fights, he wants to go after the big names and he's already said that he's not fussed about who he fights.
"He just wants to be involved in exciting fights and hopefully one of those fights come off for him.

"But when he's talking about Terence Crawford why not? That would be good.
"He said he wants to fight at Edinburgh castle and that'd be a big night."
