Josh Taylor calls Regis Prograis' promoter Lou DiBella a 'baldy banger' as fight feud continues

Josh Taylor’s twitter feud with next opponent Regis Prograis’ team continued after the Scot referred to the American’s promoter Lou DiBella as a ”baldy banger”.

The New Orleans fighter has reportedly pulled out of the upcoming WBSS Ali Trophy super lightweight final due to payment and contractual issues with tournament organisers Comosa AG.

Taylor however, believes Prograis simply doesn’t want to fight him in Scotland, and is avoiding taking the fight as he would rather avoid fighting the Scot in front of a partisan crowd on home turf.

That has prompted the East Lothian fighter to make his feelings opinion of Prograis known on social media, and DiBella responded with a series of gifs.

It’s fair to say Josh wasn’t impressed with New Yorker’s attempt at humour.

DiBella then attempted another comeback, except this time armed with some apparent local insults after following @ScottishPatterr to increase his knowledge.

Should Prograis’ issues with Comosa be resolved there has been talk of the pair facing off in Manchester in October, although whether the American agrees to fight in Britain at all remains to be seen.

Taylor’s previous two victories in the tournament, over Ryan Martin and Ivan Baranchyk, have come at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

Baranchyk’s management claimed their man was pulling out i]of that bout in the build up as well, reportedly due to similar issues that Prograis’ camp claim they are having.
