Josh Reddick got absolutely laid out by Mets first baseman Pete Alonso in brutal collision

Spring training is supposed to be a fun time in the sun where guys who are really good at baseball work out some kinks, stretch some muscles, and get their fundamentals squared away for the long season ahead.

It’s not supposed to be a painful time. But it was just that on Monday for Houston Astros outfielder Josh Reddick, who ran full speed into Mets first baseman Pete Alonso and learned first hand that you shouldn’t run full speed into Pete Alonso.

Because when you do run into the 6-foot-3, 245-pounder, it’s very much like trying to wake up on the first day of daylight savings:
