Josh Norman isn’t impressed with Cowboys’ Dak Prescott

Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has never been afraid to speak his mind.

Norman did just that on Thursday, telling the media he wasn’t all that impressed with what Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott accomplished in Week 1.

Norman, via the Associated Press’ Stephen Whyno: “You stand back there in the pocket all day and go through your first, second and third reads and come back to your first one, OK, cool. Anybody can that. You could throw the ball if that’s the case.”

Prescott had a good game in Week 1, throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns while carving up the New York Giants in a 35-17 home win.

Norman, at least in a way, has a point — Prescott wasn’t facing much in the way of pressure while working against a bad team and playing behind a good line.

For Norman, the idea is the Redskins will be able to apply quite a bit more pressure on Prescott, which in turn could make the cornerback’s life easier in coverage.

We’ll find out if this line of thinking is true when the two renew their rivalry Sunday.
