Josh Norman fined over $10K for facemask on play where he injured knee

Redskins cornerback Josh Norman went down with a knee injury in last week’s game against the New York Giants, and now he’s getting kicked while he’s down.

On Saturday, it was announced that Norman would be fined over $10,000 for a facemask penalty that he committed before going to the ground and injuring his knee.

Because of the injury, Norman was limited for much of the week, and he is currently questionable to play against the New England Patriots on Sunday, in a game that is expected to get ugly quickly. If the injury does end up holding Norman out of the game, it could end up being a good thing for the aging veteran who has repeatedly been the subject of videos on Twitter after getting burned downfield for big plays. Tom Brady and the Patriots surely have made a note of Norman’s degrading talent, and they’re probably looking to that side of the field and licking their chops.
