Josh Lambo’s four-year extension is worth $15.5M with $6.5M guaranteed

Late Wednesday afternoon the news broke that Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo had been given a four-year extension, and now the figures have been revealed. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal could max out at $15.5 million, and $6.5 million of it is guaranteed.

Lambo’s guaranteed money slots him at No. 7 among the league’s highest-paid kickers, as does the total value of his contract. That said, it appears the deal is another cap-friendly one that John Idzik deserves kudos for, because Lambo was one of the Jags’ biggest names set to hit the open market.

Lambo was pretty solid in 2018, going 19-of-29 (90.5 percent) on field goal attempts and 19-of-20 on extra-point attempts before suffering a groin injury heading into  Week 15’s game against the Washington Redskins.
