Josh Kroenke tells Arsenal fans to 'be excited' amid Wilfried Zaha transfer link

Josh Kroenke has told Arsenal fans to "be excited" about incomings in this summer's transfer window.

Kroenke, the son of majority shareholder, Stan, and a non-executive director at Arsenal, claims the north London club have a few possible signings in the pipeline.

The Gunners have already signed Gabriel Martinelli this summer and are close to securing a deal for William Saliba.

They are also linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha as well as Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, but are some way off agreeing on fees with either club for the two players.

Arsenal fans are worried they are running out of time to secure their top signings.

But Kroenke insists supporters should feel optimistic.

"I would say be excited," Kroenke told Arsenal's official website.

"There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.

"Nothing is ever a done deal until it's a done deal, obviously, but we know we have key areas we want to address in our squad, both now and in the future.

"Our entire football operations staff have a great grasp on that and I've encouraged them to be as aggressive as possible."
