Josh Kroenke has hinted that Arsenal could dip into the transfer market to help their top-four dream become a reality.
The Gunners had to temper their expectations at the start of the season after their eighth-place finish last term, but Mikel Arteta's rebuild is gathering momentum amid a ten-game unbeaten run.
A Champions League spot is not out of the question with Manchester United and Tottenham struggling at the moment.
And Arsenal chief Kroenke suggests the owners could help facilitate that goal by adding reinforcements in January after spending almost £150m in the summer as he took part in a rare interview.
He told Sky Sports: "We had a clear idea of what we needed to do with the squad and there were a lot of areas that needed to be addressed.

“Were we able to address them all in one window? I don’t think we did or were able to do, but we made a lot of progress in certain areas.”
The area Kroenke speaks of is at the top end of the pitch.
The Gunners were linked with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ollie Watkins and Tammy Abraham in the summer, but opted to stick with their current front line of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The pair have formed a brilliant partnership in recent weeks, but with Lacazette's contract running out in the summer, it's reported that Arsenal are still in the hunt for a forward.
It's claimed Fiorentina marksman Dusan Vlahovic is one of their main targets and the Gunners are willing to pay up to £70m for the Serbian, a deal the club would like to sanction in January, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Kronke is happy with Arsenal's progression so far this season but plans to keep pushing forward so there isn't a chance of the club stagnating.
He added: I’m growing more confident by the day but there’s a lot of work ahead.
“Even though we’re starting to show signs of progress, if you don’t keep pushing forwards you’ll stagnate. That’s a big focus of ours right now: what are our next steps?
“Do we feel good about where we are? We feel better about where we are, we don’t feel good. Our fans still deserve more."

Kroenke also insists his family are only "just getting started" as he dismissed claims they were looking to sell the club after they rejected Danei Ek's £2billion bid earlier this year.
He said: “We get bids for the club all the time, from many different parties around the world and that speaks to the strength of the Arsenal,” he said.
“It’s a wonderful institution, Arsenal Football Club is a global brand and my only response to anything is the club is not for sale, we’re just getting started.
“We’ve only really owned the club since 2018. We have a young manager, we have a young squad and we’re charting our path to the future.

“In the United States we have a certain model [used at other organisations run by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment] and we’re implementing that here, and we have over the last three years, which is, young players, talented players with the right mentality, let them grow together while continuing to sprinkle in talent throughout the squad.
“Eventually it grows into something very special. The power of continuity behind the scenes and people working together and pulling in the same direction is an underrated aspect of pro sports.
“With the power of continuity and allowing this group to grow together, special times are ahead for this club.”
