Josh Jacobs NFL draft profile

Josh Jacobs | RB | Alabama

Height | 5-10

Weight | 216

Class | Junior

College Bio

Career Stats

A three-year backup at Alabama, Jacobs was part of a deep backfield who had to battle for snaps behind starter Damien Harris. That was until he emerged in the 2018 season. The top-rated running back prospect in the 2019 class, Jacobs needs refinement in a few areas, but it’s tough to find glaring weaknesses in his game, which is why many have him listed as their No. 1 RB.

His lack of touches may be an issue to some teams, but he showed to be a game-changing offensive threat for the Crimson Tide in that small sample size. He has exceptional size, power, elusive traits, receiving ability, balance and center of gravity to pick up yards after contact with the vision and acceleration to be a home-run finisher any time he touches the ball.

Jacobs projects as a starting running back in the NFL capable of high-volume touches and is ideally suited in an outside zone rushing system, but fits every offensive scheme comfortably due to his versatility.

Current Projection: 2nd Round
