Josh Hart (knee) out for Lakers vs. Nets Friday, potentially longer

The long, slow march towards the end of the Lakers season may have claimed the season of another member of their young core.

Lakers guard Josh Hart will be held out for the Lakers game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets as he continues to deal with persistent knee soreness. Hart’s knee has been bothering him for much of the season, even forcing him to undergo a PRP injection, which he says didn’t do much to help things.

According to Lakers team reporter Mike Trudell, Hart will speak with the Lakers medical staff about a plan for the remainder of the season.

That doesn’t sound like a positive if you’re hoping for Hart to play anymore games this season. After tonight’s game against Brooklyn, the Lakers will only have nine games left in their season and every incentive to continue to losing.
