Josh Hart found the Lakers organization to be depressing

Although LeBron James is looking forward to a season with higher expectations thanks to the addition of six-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA First Team forward Anthony Davis, the players who were sent to New Orleans in the trade are still raw about having their careers in purple and gold cut short.

Josh Hart, who hosts his own podcast which this week featured fellow former Laker turned Pelican Lonzo Ball, suggested that the environment with the Lakers was depressing.

After Ball discussed his brother LaMelo’s decision to play in New Zealand rather than “depressing” Lithuania where “nobody wants to be,” Hart chimed in that it sounded a lot like the working environment they experienced together in L.A.

Ball did not follow up on Hart’s comments. But it’s pretty clear that he has no love lost for the Lakers organization.

Hart and most of the Lakers who were traded seem disillusioned with how their Lakers tenure went. Now, it will be interesting to see if the addition of another great player, Davis, can help the Lakers overcome a perception of ineptitude.
