Josh Gordon, Matt LaCosse don’t participate in Patriots practice in Week 7

New England Patriots receiver Josh Gordon (knee) and tight end Matt LaCosse (shoulder) didn’t participate in practice on Thursday in Week 7 in preparation for a Monday night game against the New York Jets. The Patriots get an extra practice in Week 7 because of the that Monday night matchup.

Running back Rex Burkhead (foot), safety Patrick Chung (heel/chest) and receivers Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) and Julian Edelman (chest) were limited. Dorsett and Burkhead missed Week 6 action with their injuries. Edelman and Dorsett, however played.

Defensive end Michael Bennett was not at practice, and is serving a one-week suspension for conduct detrimental to the Patriots.

Gordon suffered his knee injury in Week 6 action against the Giants. He was tackling New York’s Markus Golden after he recovered a Tom Brady fumble. Despite Gordon’s best efforts, he couldn’t keep Golden out of the end zone, and twisted his knee in the process of the tackle. He didn’t return to the game. LaCosse and Chung also exited the game against the Giants.
