England have moved to wrestle highly-rated youth cap Josh Feeney back from Scotland.
The Fleetwood Town defender has been called up for the Auld Enemy’s under-16s.
The 16-year-old has previously been involved with Scotland at the same age-group.
The English-born central half qualifies for Scotland through his dad but has decided to play for his country of birth.
Feeney was last called up by the Scots last year before the pandemic.
It remains to be seen if Feeney will progress through the English set-up or Scotland could still convince him to pull on the dark blue.
There have been various examples of this in the past like Celtic kid Karamoko Dembele, who have jumped from Scotland to England and back.
