A "mega weekend" was how Co Fermanagh's Josh Elliott summed up his performance in the opening round of the British Superbike Championship.
The OMG Suzuki rider was awarded the win in race one after Tarran Mackenzie was hit with a three-second penalty for an incident with his team-mate Jason O’Hallloran on the last lap.
Elliott then claimed runner up in race two to give him the joint lead of the championship after the opening weekend at Silverstone.
Now the Northern Ireland rider is hoping to carry the momentum to Oulton Park in two weeks' time.
"Can't really put it into words right now. Just thank you to everyone who's supported me and sent me so many lovely messages!" Elliott said on Facebook.
"My team OMG Racing have been working so hard and gave me a great bike!! To all my sponsors who have stuck with me I appreciate all the support.
"Coming away with a 1st and 2nd is simply amazing. Leading the Championship as well! Mega weekend."
