Josh Doig transfer latest as West Ham ‘show interest’ in Hibs starlet

West Ham have become the latest club to show an interest in highly-rated teenager Josh Doig, according to a report.

Watford were believed to be the team most likely to make a bid for him but after an initial offer was turned down by Hibs, they've turned their attention elsewhere.

But now West Ham and Nottingham Forest are believed to be keeping a close eye on the left back, who has struggled with injuries during pre-season.

The Athletic report that both clubs are keeping close tabs on him and could make a move for him this summer and Hibs could need to brace themselves for more offers.

It's believed the Easter Road side want around £5million for the teenager, who signed a new long term deal earlier this year to tie himself to the club.

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene last season and kept club legend Lewis Stevenson out of Jack Ross' team for the majority of the season.

Now he has a chance to hold down the place for himself again this season as he looks to keep continuing his development at the top level.
