Jack Ross is optimistic Josh Doig will be fit for Hibs' Scottish Cup showdown with Motherwell.
The left-back was a notable absentee from Wednesday night's crucial Premiership victory over Livingston, one which puts the club on the verge of securing third place in the Premiership.
The Hibees dug out a 2-1 victory without Doig after he suffered a back spasm.
But manager Ross is hopeful he won't have to make do without the teenager this weekend, despite Lewis Stevenson proving he's still an able replacement.
Chris Cadden picked up a training injury ahead of Hibs' weekend's win over Stranraer and the boss was less positive about his chances.
Ross said: "Hopefully he (Doig) will be available for Saturday.
"He had a back spasm and it was just too quick a turnaround to be ready (for Livi) but I’m lucky that I have Lewy who was brilliant.
"He was able to come back in and was terrific.
“But, hopefully, Josh will be back in the squad because we were a little bit thin and a couple of subs down.
“Chris might be a little bit more doubtful. We will see if he is ready. We were hoping he might be okay [for Livingston] but he had a little setback on Wednesday morning so we will have to see how he is. I am more hopeful about Josh than Chris at the moment.”
