Josh Collins has joined Waterford FC from UCD.
Centre-half Collins, 23, spent almost five years with the Belfield club and joins Kevin Sheedy's Blues having trained with the club this week.
“Delighted to have joined," said the defender, whose younger brother, Nathan, plays for Stoke City and has represented Ireland up to under-21 level.
"Started training on Monday and it’s been tough so far but very enjoyable.
“It’s been really enjoyable so far, the two lads know what they want us to do and they’ve put us on it straight away.
"It’s exciting times and I’m looking forward to getting the double sessions over with and getting into matches".
