Josh Allen wants to face Patrick Mahomes in a distance-throwing contest

When it comes to the best throwing arms in the NFL, few would argue against a top 2 of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Mahomes has been known to throw 75-plus yards on the fly and may have tossed a ball 90-plus yards while throwing pregame at altitude in Denver. And then Allen had passes clocked at 62 mph at the combine. There’s no denying that they both have great arms, but the two quarterbacks have yet to settle the argument one-on-one.

That could be changing very soon.

In an interview with NFL Network on Wednesday, Allen said that he wants to face Mahomes in a distance-throwing contest.

Allen said that the two actually had something set up, but the coronavirus pandemic put those plans on hold. Still, this does seem like something they could do from different locations and live video (as long as the altitude and wind conditions are about even).

Don’t back out of it, Josh.

Let’s hope they’re able to make something happen because NFL fans absolutely need that question settled once and for all.
