Josh Allen Says Some Believe Aaron Rodgers Cheated at Pebble Beach Golf Tournament

Months after Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the amateur portion of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am back in February, Bills quarterback Josh Allen is spilling what he’s heard actually happened on the golf course.

Allen claims that Rodgers “sandbagged” the entire golf field, which means the Jets starter lied about his handicap to make it look like he’s worse than he is. Apparently, his handicap was listed at 10, even though he normally sits at a three, per Golf Digest.

When asked if the Bills star thought Rodgers cheated on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, he simply said “yeah,” but then he tried to backtrack his statement later by saying he’s heard this from other people.

“He may have gotten seven or eight strokes too many at Pebble Beach, or nine,” Allen said. “That’s from what other sources are saying, I’m not saying that.”

This golf smack-talking may make its way onto the football field as the quarterbacks are set to be AFC East rivals for the first time.

Rodgers won alongside PGA Tour professional Ben Silverman with a total of 26-under in February’s competition. Allen and his PGA Tour professional partner Keith Mitchell shot 22-under to place fourth.
