Joseph Quinn, known for his role in Stranger Things, is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. During his appearance at Facts Comic-Con, Quinn expressed his excitement for the project, praising director Matt Shakman's 'brilliant vision.' The actor described his decision to be part of the film as a 'no-brainer,' indicating a strong camaraderie among the cast and confidence in the film's direction.

Quinn humorously mentioned preparing for his fiery role by joking about setting himself on fire every day to truly embody the Human Torch. Rumors suggest the movie may have a 1960s setting, adding a retro touch to the superhero team's story.

Director Shakman emphasized that the film would offer a fresh take on the Fantastic Four, promising a unique storytelling approach and filmmaking style that sets it apart from previous adaptations. Shakman hinted at a departure from the familiar, teasing that the movie would be 'unlike anything' seen before in the MCU.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach, cast as The Thing/Ben Grimm, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel's show that this version of The Thing would utilize modern technology instead of practical suits. Moss-Bachrach expressed surprise at being cast in the iconic role, sharing that he received the news unexpectedly during the writer's strike but is now fully committed to bringing a new dimension to The Thing.
