Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to return to the London Palladium

A new production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is coming to the West End for a limited run in next summer.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical is playing for 11 weeks at the London Palladium, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the concept album’s release.

Performances of the musical begin on June 26, produced by Michael Harrison and The Really Useful Group. The cast and director have yet to be announced.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat tells the old testament story of Jacob and his twelve sons. After his favourite, Joseph, is sold into slavery, he discovers his ability to interpret dreams.

First performed in the West End in 1973, Joseph began life as a small school concert and has gone on to be performed in more than 80 countries around the world. The role of Joseph has been played by the likes of Jason Donovan, Phillip Schofield, Donny Osmond, Lee Mead and Joe McElderry.
