Mourinho reveals Orsic warning before Europa League catastrophe
Jose Mourinho has said he warned his players about the Mislav Orsic before the Zagreb man sent Tottenham crashing out of the Europa League.
Orsic’s incredible hat-trick saw Spurs surrender a 2-0 first leg lead to exit the competition 3-2 on aggregate.
Speaking after the game, Mourinho insisted that he had prepared for the midfielder and his players should have been well aware of the threat he posed.
“The first thing I tell you, which you can believe or not believe. My players they watch and watch and watch Orsic actions during his career.
“That is the only thing I can say. I prepared my players to play against Orsic, I gave them all information to play against him and that is the only thing I can say.”

Spurs players ‘lost the plot’ in Zagreb says Hoddle
Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle has said his former team ‘lost the plot’ during the Zagreb defeat.
Speaking on BT Sport, the former Spurs man was far from impressed with the players’ attitude or application in allowing the Croatians to progress.
Hoddle believes that mentally, the players were unable to cope with the situation once their opponents got a foothold on the game.
"When you put yourself under that pressure, then go and perform under that pressure - and they didn’t, they got nervous. They were kicking the ball up in the air, some of the most ridiculous things were happening.
"They lost the plot, but they also lost their heart and desire to do something about it."

Spurs urged to cash in on Sanchez
Spurs have been told to sell defender Davinson Sanchez this summer although they should not expect to recoup the £42m paid for him in 2017.
The Colombian centre-back has struggled for consistency in his four years in north London and former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes the time is right for Spurs to cut their losses.
Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said Spurs would be better served using the money to improve their squad.
"No, they have no chance of recouping that fee," the former Arsenal striker said. “But I still think they can get decent money for him in the summer. How much? I am not quite sure but a sizeable amount that could be used to strengthen elsewhere.”
