Jose Mourinho tipped to challenge Liverpool for title with Tottenham

Jose Mourinho will have Tottenham challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.

That's according to Louis Saha, who reckons Mourinho's experience can take Tottenham - who are already blessed with some incredible players - to the next level.

Mourinho suffered his first defeat as Spurs boss away at his former club Man United on Wednesday night, which saw the Red Devils leapfrog Tottenham in the table.

But despite the slip-up, Saha is confident Mourinho can turn Spurs into title contenders next season, once he is settled in north London.

"Mourinho will have Tottenham challenging Liverpool and Man City for the Premier League title next season," Saha told bwin.

"They already have the players but Mourinho will bring the experience, the tactical awareness and the stability to take them up a level.

"Harry Kane is the best striker in Europe and he is supported by the likes of [Heung-min] Son and Dele Alli who are tremendous players.

"With those three players, Tottenham have enormous power to achieve great things."

Spurs reached the Champions League final last season but were beaten by Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino, who achieved the unthinkable feat, was sacked and replaced by Mourinho this season.

And Saha thinks that the Portuguese - who has won the competition twice before - can do so a third time with the north London club.

"Mourinho is an exceptional manager and he can help Tottenham win the Champions League this season.

Last year, Tottenham surprised themselves by getting to the Champions League final and it will be very difficult for them to repeat that, but Mourinho can do exceptional things and can achieve things that don't look likely."
