Jose Mourinho takes aim at FA charge with cheeky dig after Manchester United beat Juventus

Jose Mourinho has taken aim at the Football Association after his controversial celebration as Manchester United beat Juventus in the Champions League.

Having seen United score two goals in the final four minutes in Turin, Juan Mata with a free kick and a Leonardo Bonucci own goal, Mourinho marched onto the pitch at full-time with his hand cupped to his ears.

Mourinho explained afterwards: "I was insulted for 90 minutes. I came here to do my job, nothing more.

"I didn’t offend anyone at the end, I just made a gesture that I wanted to hear them louder."

The United manager learnt today that the FA will appeal the decision to clear him of using abusive language after a victory over Newcastle United.

Mourinho was alleged to have directed an insult in his native tongue towards a camera.

Talking to ViaSport after the game, Mourinho asked the reporter: "Do you understand Italian?"

When she replied "no", he responded: "Ask the FA, they will translate for you."
