Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has offered his verdict on the much sought after midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who has been linked with United, Manchester City and Liverpool .
Fernandes has taken his game to new heights this past season by bagging 20 goals in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for Sporting Lisbon.
This improved play has led to the attacking midfielder courting interest from across Europe. Fernandes has since provided a glowing declaration on Liverpool's style of play which will please fans and offer a potential blow to Man City.
A move to the Premier League looks likely and it's promising that a man who knows so much about the league in Mourinho has such warm words on hand when describing his compatriot.
"I was surprised by the season of Bruno Fernandes. It was easy to predict quality, he is a very good player, but scored a very high number of goals for a midfield player," Mourinho told Eleven Sports.
"It shows that you need to have instinct and qualities to score and he has it all. He strikes the ball well, heads well, cool when he is one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He finds space in the penalty area. It’s all there."
City are the favourites to land Fernandes at the moment according to SkyBet priced at 7/4, while Liverpool are second at 2/1. United, meanwhile, are rated as third favourites at 9/4.
