Jose Mourinho speaks after THOSE Celtic rumours as he opens up on his future

Jose Mourinho has broken his silence over his next move in football just days after being outrageously linked with a move to take over at Celtic .

The Special One admits he is missing the thrill of management five months after being sacked by Manchester United .

The Portuguese has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford at the end of last year and was said to be interesting the Hoops.

Sky Italia reported Mourinho had even received an offer from the Scottish champions with his agent Jorge Mendes enjoying a 'close relationship' with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell.

However Record Sport checked the report with the Parkhead hierarchy who promptly knocked the story down.

Mourinho , 56, appeared on beIN SPORTS last night where he took part in a Q&A with the audience.

And, asked what next in his career, Mourinho said: "You are desperate to get me a club!

"I have lots of respect for the clubs and every club that shows interest in me and tries to contact me and believes that I can be the right person to be with them makes me very proud and respectful.

"In the end I will choose one (club) but I'm not the kind of person to be discussing this because I'm full of respect for everybody.

"Let's wait and see but don't give me the feeling that you want to kick me out of beIN SPORTS!"

"Of course I miss it."

Despite Celtic denying the report, Mourinho still remains second favourite with the bookies to be the next permanent manager at Parkhead.

Neil Lennon is the frontrunner to make his interim spell permanent at the end of the season as the Hoops stand just 90 minutes from the treble Treble.

Mourinho has won 25 honours during a glittering career as a manager but an ill-fated spell in charge at Old Trafford increased his detractors’ beliefs he has failed to move with the times.
