Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Saturday, June 20.
Mourinho criticises penalty decisions
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was unhappy with the two penalties that Manchester United were awarded against his side - although the second was overturned by VAR.
Bruno Fernandes spot-kick after Eric Dier fouled Paul Pogba ensured the points were shared between the two Champions League-chasing sides and Mourinho, always outspoken, made not secret of his irritation at key decisions.
“I’m unhappy with the VAR, not the referee, because the referee, in the game, can make a mistake, can give a cheap penalty, but then the VAR is there to do the job, so I’m not unhappy with Moss, I’m unhappy with VAR," he told Sky Sports.
“With the second penalty, I’m unhappy with Moss because he didn’t give the free-kick on Serge Aurier, he let it go. Then, again, he gave a cheap penalty, a non-penalty and in this case, the VAR gave the truth - what happened in the box."
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg move 'certain'
Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg seems destined for a move away from the South Coast, having been stripped of the captaincy this week.
While he featured for the Saints in Friday's victory over Norwich City, speculation surrounding the Denmark international and a move to Tottenham is rife.
Now, Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet have thrown more weight behind the transfer talk after stating that Spurs are 'certain' to make a move for the 24-year-old when the transfer window opens.
However, it's added that Spurs are not the only club to hold an interest in the former Bayern Munich ace and a fight could take place in the market.
Bergwijn's position and things learnt vs United
Tottenham fans finally got the chance to see Steven Bergwjn in the same team as Harry Kane for the very first time on Friday night.
Usually operating on the left for PSV, the 22-year-old has started there on a couple of occasions in his short time in the capital with Son pushed out from his natural role to the right.
However, it was the South Korean who was utilised on the left against the Red Devils. Bergwijn is no stranger to playing from the right and he demonstrated it midway through the first half as he used his pace to speed past Harry Maguire and Fred to fire beyond David De Gea.
