Mourinho takes aim
Jose Mourinho has taken aim at Michael Oliver’s decision not to award Tottenham a penalty in their draw with Bournemouth.
Harry Kane was challenged by Joshua King at the far post following a corner, with the England striker brought to ground after a push.
VAR's Michael Oliver looked at the incident but did not overturn the on-field decision, to the fury of Mourinho who was clearly angry on the touchline, and he expressed his anger afterwards.
“I am not saying that Harry Kane scores 100 per cent of his penalties, but it is very very high,” he told Sky Sports after the game.
“Normally at minute five we would be winning 1-0 against a team in trouble, I think the game would be completely different.
“Like Sheffield, the man of the match was not one of the players. But at Sheffield I could blame myself and the players, today I could not do that.”
Before he added: “You don't think it was a penalty? Your opinion matters, you have the microphone. It's not just my opinion, everyone in the world, everybody knows that is a penalty.
“And when I say everybody, I say everybody, everybody.
Ajax join Spurs in Hojbjerg race
Dutch giants Ajax have joined the race for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to the Telegraph.
Spurs have long been linked with the Southampton midfielder, who has recently been replaced as captain due to the fact he has just a year left on his contract.
Yet the report says Ajax are also now showing interest in a potential £15m deal that would also guarantee the Denmark international Champions League football.
At the moment, though, the 24-year-old views staying in the Premier League as an attractive option, which could work in Spurs' favour
Who is Harvey White?
Tottenham academy ace Harvey White has been named on the bench for this evening's game against Bournemouth.
The return of Premier League football last month saw a couple of changes to the rules for the remaining games of the season, with the number of players named on the bench one of them.
Managers can now select an additional two substitutes for Premier League matches and make a total of five changes in a game if needed.
The rule change has certainly benefited White as Jose Mourinho has decided to include him in his 20-man matchday squad at the Vitality Stadium.
