Jose Mourinho lambasted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his criticism of Son Heung-min's reaction to a foul by Scott McTominay during Manchester United's win at Tottenham.
United had a goal disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee in the first-half of their 3-1 victory after McTominay's hand grazed Son in the face and Solskjaer said afterwards: "If my son stays down like this for three minutes and needs 10 mates to help him up, he won't get any food."
Solskjaer said in the wake of United's 6-1 trouncing by Tottenham in October his son would live on 'bread and water' for two weeks if he play-acted like Erik Lamela did when Anthony Martial was sent off.
During his post-match Zoom call, Mourinho was annoyed the topic of Solskjaer's comments were not mentioned, accused a journalist of lacking 'moral honesty' for treating him differently to other managers and revealed he had expressed his dismay to Solskjaer.
"First of all let me tell you something," Mourinho said. "I'm very, very surprised that after the comments that Ole made on Sonny you don't ask me about it.
"Because - and I told Ole already this because I met him just a few minutes ago - if it's me, telling that player A, B or C from another club, if it was my son, I wouldn't give him dinner tonight or something like that, what would be the reaction of that level?
"It's very, very sad and I think it's really sad you don't ask me about it. It's really sad you don't have the moral honesty to treat me the way you treat others.
"In relation to that, Sonny is very lucky that his father is a better person than Ole. Because - I am a father - as a father, you have always to feed your kids, it doesn't matter what they do. If you have to steal to feed your kids you steal.
"I'm very, very disappointed. And with me, like we say in Portugal, bread is bread and cheese is cheese, I told Ole already what I think about his comments.
"And I have to tell you that I'm very disappointed in five, six or seven questions, you ignore the dimension of that comment."
