Jose Mourinho's face said it all when he mentioned his record at Newcastle United after Spurs win

Jose Mourinho believes the next two days are going to be 'happy days' in the Spurs camp after his side's derby win against Arsenal - but the Portuguese is preparing himself for a 'difficult' trip to Newcastle United on Wednesday as he looks to finally end his Premier League hoodoo at St James' Park.

Spurs leapfrogged Arsenal in the table after coming from a goal behind to win the first ever North London derby held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Now in eighth place in the table, Mourinho has set his side the challenge of qualifying for the Europa League as they look ahead to their final three games of the season against Newcastle, Leicester and Crystal Palace.

Mourinho, who has deep respect for Newcastle and the club's supporters, has never won a Premier League game at St James' Park and, with a wry smile, he mentioned that fact in his post-match press conference after Spurs' derby win.

"Before lockdown, we beat City here. Now, we beat Arsenal in the derby. It's important, it's nice, it's a good feeling," he told reporters on a Zoom call after the game.

"Sometimes it clicks, the confidence levels, but honestly now the end of season is just about three matches, nine points, trying to win them, trying to finish in the Europa League position but there is no time for big consequences apart from the happiness that this victory gives to the Spurs family and I could feel the boys' happiness was different.

"People who work in the club for many years - kit men, medical people - I could feel that for them it was also special.

"I believe that the next two days are going to be two happy days in the camp but then we go to Newcastle and Newcastle is a good team, a difficult team, and it is the only stadium in England where I never won."
